The ABS has diversity networks for a range of minority groups. I am also LGBT and have never felt judged or in any way negatively impacted by it. I've seen several people in my section go on maternity leave with no issues and part time/flexible work is easily available for those with caring responsibilities

There are lots of learning modules related to diversity and inclusion. The culture in general is very accepting. Haven't encountered any instances of discrimination. Lots of effort towards respecting ATSI peoples and history, however, I haven't seen many ATSI people around the office.

I know there is an almost 50-50 balance of men to women. Not sure about others, but the ABS is actively very inclusive, and hires based on merit, not gender or anything like that.
