What is Chevron's Vacation Program?
The Chevron Vacation Program provides 12-weeks of paid vacation employment, giving students the opportunity to participate in our industry-leading oil and gas projects while acquiring practical skills relevant to your field of study.
We provide education and training during the program to help cultivate your skills within a diverse, inclusive, supportive and collaborative workplace.

What we offer
Earth science is the foundation of the oil and gas industry and your expertise as a Geologist or Geophysicist is essential to unlocking the earth's vital stores of energy.
As part of the vacation program you will be working on real geology and geophysics projects with the opportunity to apply sophisticated technology and critical thinking to Chevron's Australian operations.
You will be exposed to world-class oil and gas discoveries and exploration programs operated by Chevron in Australia which include the Gorgon, Jansz, and Wheatstone fields and around 50 trillion cubic feet of discovered gas resources.
Throughout your placement you will be embedded within Subsurface teams comprising of Geologists, Geophysicists and Engineers and will be exposed to the day-to-day opportunities and challenges associated with oil and gas exploration and production.
You will become familiar with the technical work, business processes, technologies and company culture that are all integral to running a successful energy business.
Following completion of the 12-week program, vacation students who consistently perform above expectations may be considered for full time graduate positions.
