Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
Promotion does happen quite fast in the business, I would say on average people get promoted every 1-2 years before they become more senior (where it makes sense that they stay in those roles for upwards of 3-4 years). Promotion tends to be given to people who have strong professional networks in the business, who have also demonstrated that they can take initiative and put their hands up for opportunities that may be outside their scope. My only constructive point is that I wish it was a bit easier to coordinate international transfers or assignments.

l'oreals great with moving people around so they never stay in one place. helps us learn and grow however not a lot of transparency on what is needed for a promotion (e.g. specific diplomas/degrees, experience, etc.) and they should be more transparent with the pay

I am not sure what is available, it is very secretive

Upward movement is very possible, but networking is required more than anything with your prospecting team.

As a graduate, the company is very supportive of creating a career path for me and supporting my career progression. Regular meetings with my own team as well as HR make me feel seen and heard. The management in each team is also very good at providing opportunities in development areas to ensure that I am putting my best foot forward for progression

I feel their is a developed pathway for my career set out and I understand the importance of breadth and my network in order to move up the ranks.

The opportunities straight out of grad are guaranteed. They will guarantee a position for all grads by early in the next year which makes it very easy to move up in the company from the beginning. As for moving up post grad, I am not sure if it is difficult or not.

I am an MT - but can see that there is ample opportunity for career progression and promotion

Promotion culture based on performance and also your time spent in role, they are great at moving people up or very open to changing areas as well- especially in grad program, open to where you want to go next

Being new to the company, I am yet to experience a promotion myself. However, I have witnessed many around me and feel very supported in the early stages of my career. To move up the ranks one must work effectively in their role but also challenge themselves and seek opporunities outside their remit. One must be a leader and encourage others. There is a strong focus on cross functional/divisional moves, breadth and adaptbility are key indicators of high performance
