About our Summer Internship Program By joining the Macquarie Summer Internship Program you’ll become an integral member of the team for your entire placement. You’ll be sitting side-by-side with business leaders, learning on the job, making a difference and working on live projects and transactions. Your career development starts with a Macquarie wide orientation. You’ll then embark on a structured 10 – 12 week program with on-the-job training and the opportunity to build your network. The experience you will have throughout your program can set you up for a successful career following the completion of your studies. We have opportunities for our 2020 / 2021 Summer Internship Program in Risk (Sydney). Risk management is at the core of everything we do at Macquarie. By joining our team in a risk role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our longstanding approach of establishing and maintaining an appropriate risk culture. You will become a trusted advisor to leaders and their internal customers within your team. You’ll work as an integrated team member delivering commercial risk-based advice to key decision makers, fostering a proactive risk management culture, and ensuring risk is managed effectively and in line with our Risk Management Framework. You will ensure ongoing risk management by executing and monitoring risk management practices, operational issues and control breakdowns within your division. Applicants may indicate their interest in financial risk and/or non-financial risk. For application purposes, financial risk includes areas such as credit risk, market risk, aggregate risk and quantitative analytics & model validation.
