Introduction

Welcome to National OT’s Virtual Experience.

National OT is a leading provider of Allied health therapy services with one of the largest teams of therapists in Australia. Our Therapists work in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology clinical streams and have the opportunity to gain experience working with clients of all ages, with various disabilities and across different funding schemes. Our therapists also work in a variety of roles including as clinicians, supervisors, team leaders, clinical specialists and managers.

What you’ll learn

In this virtual experience you will be making recommendations for modifications to the home environment for an NDIS participant. Your tasks will include:

•  A review of the participant’s occupational performance challenges related to his disability and how these impact on his daily life.
• An assessment of the participant’s current living situation and environment.
• Recommendations to modify the environment in order to improve access and functionality.
