About Our Program

Kick-start your career with a full-time role from day one. The 1st two years on the program have been uniquely designed to equip you with the experience, knowledge and networks empowering you to succeed. After the two years, you will roll off the program and continue to grow your career within Optus as a permanent team member. Our Graduate offering is divided into two distinctive programs - Corporate and Technology.

Our Technology Graduate Program entails:

  • 2 x 12 month rotations
  • Streams available Cybersecurity, CX/UX, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Data Analytics and Satellite
  • Business areas include IT, Networks, Data, Satellite and additional placements in Enterprise Business and Customer Success
  • Qualifications and Certificates accepted but not limited to - Software Engineering, IT, Cyber, Computer Science, Design, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Space Engineering

Who is eligible to apply for the Optus Graduate Program?

We know the best ideas come from unusual collaborations, unheard voices and from those who think differently. The Optus Graduate program allows for skills to be nurtured, not expected. To be eligible for our program, you will need to:

  • Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, or Permanent Resident
  • Have completed an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's degree (or higher) or Certificate level qualification in 2022, 2023 or expect to complete your final subject by December 2024, inclusive of any internships or work experience placements required for graduation.
  • Be willing to work predominantly from our Macquarie Park campus located in Sydney. Relocation assistance will be considered for successful candidates based outside of New South Wales.
  • Be available to commence full-time in February 2025.
